People have asked why not use the Hydrolysis method because it absorbs faster than cross flow. This is true. Hydrolyzed isolates are "predigested", meaning they can saturate and begin work faster. Here is the issue . . . Hydrolyzed whey is considered "predigested" because the product has already been partially broken down through the use of chemicals vs. the natural process of cross flow micro filtration. Hydrolyzed whey also increases in oxidation of amino acids. The fast absorption rate causes the body to increase the rate that it breaks down amino acids for energy. This could lead to loss of lean muscle mass.
