PROTEIN CONCENTRATE
A sufficient protein concentration must be achieved when creating whey. The liquid can be dried to form whey concentrate powder that consists of up to 80% protein by weight. The remaining 20% of the whey concentrate powder contains carbohydrates, fats, fructose, lactose, etc.
PROTEIN ISOLATE
Isolate: Generally goes through a defined filtration process yielding a higher content of protein: 90% protein, or higher. Because of this, it contains less lactose and fat than normal whey concentrate.
